DNA linked families of James & Margaret (Learmonth), and Robert & Isabella (Young) Fairbairn.
Robert appears in the archives as an engineer for the Duke of Hamilton in Lanarkshire in the late 1840s, the 1851 census stating he was born Eckford. The family then moves to Liverpool where son George is born, but Robert then vanishes (family moving on to London).
He is connected to James and Christian's son Robert purely on conjecture, and the strength of an 80% probability that John (F-35) and Eckford:F=27 share a common ancestor within 6 generations.
A confirming dna signature for others in these lines to help pinpoint their place in the jigsaw would be good.
