DNA LineagesFamily of John & Magdalen (BO) FAIRBAIRN
Existing trees vary in the parentage of the John who married Jessie JOHNSTON. Most agree his mother is a PURVES, but differ in whether his father is James or James' brother Patrick, and her name is Elizabeth or Margaret.
Most also agree that whether he was James or Patrick, he was brother to the John who married Helen ANDERSON.
A participant from this latter family is still sought to validate this, particularly now that it looks like John is spoken for elsewhere (and there isn't obviously a Patrick in the family of John and Magdalen - but there are huge gaps in the Earlston registers)
